About cookies

The basis for this communication is the amended Electronic Communications Act (Official Gazette No. 109/2012; hereinafter referred to as ZEKom-1), which came into effect at the beginning of 2013. It brought about new rules regarding the use of cookies and similar technologies for storing or accessing information stored on a user’s computer or mobile device.

What are cookies?

Cookies are small files that most websites use to recognize devices. They are essential for the operation of websites, often with the purpose of improving the user experience and making the website more user-friendly. The interaction between the user and the website is faster and easier with cookies, making browsing more efficient and enjoyable.

The storage of cookies on the user’s computer is under the complete control of the browser being used by the user. The user can limit or disable the storage of cookies as desired. Most websites use cookies. There are several reasons for using cookies, including helping to perform web services (such as online stores), collecting statistical data about user habits, and customizing individual websites. Companies can use cookies to assess the effectiveness of their websites, as well as the relevance of the information they offer to their users.

The cookies we use on this site follow guidelines from:

– The Information Commissioner of the Republic of Slovenia
– International Chamber of Commerce

2. Performance Cookies

These cookies collect data on how users behave on the website in order to improve the performance components of the website (e.g., which parts of the website are visited most frequently, etc.). These cookies do not collect information that could identify the user.

3. Functional Cookies

These cookies enable the website to remember some of your settings and choices (username, language, region, etc.) and provide advanced, personalized features. Such cookies may allow tracking of your actions on the website.

4. Advertising or Targeting Cookies

These cookies are most commonly used by advertising and social networks (third parties) to display more targeted ads, limit ad repetition, or measure the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. Such cookies may allow tracking of your actions online.
